3. Assay as NH4HSO3 : 70 ± 2%
4. Assay as SO2 : 43.5 – 45.5 %
5. Assay as (NH4)2SO4 : 0.125% Max
6. Specific Gravity @20°C : 1.38 – 1.4 gm/cm3
7. Iron as Fe : 5.0 PPM Max.
8. Insoluble Matter : NIL

Major Applications

  •  Crude Oil Mining & drilling water (Oil extracting industry) – as oxygen scavenger.
  •  Water treatment industry – as to remove dissolved oxygen.
  •  In Food Industry for manufacture of caramel colour, and sugar industry to assure sterile
    conditions in diffusion and to decolorize thin juices.
  •  In Mining industry as floating agent or in metal refining (copper recovery) as reducing agent.
  •  In Chemical industries in the synthesis of dye intermediates, surfactants, pesticides,
    herbicides and others

Storage

  •  Store in ventilated dry area and under shed.
  •  Keep containers closed when not use, solution is acidic and oxidize when contact with air & water.
  •  Shelf life: 13 Months.
